The company obtained the special certificate of airworthiness from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the government agency responsible for the regulations and controls of civil aviation in the United States. This is the first time that this authorisation has been issued to a fully electric flying car.
Of course, the authorisation only concerns test flights, but Jim Dukhovny, the company's CEO, is very optimistic: "It's a small step for planes, and a giant leap for cars."
