Update
This is a bunker buster bomb so heavy it can only be carried by a heavy bomber, and it exists for one job: to reach the things enemies bury deepest.
It's the GBU-57, America's 13.6-tonne bunker-buster!
The GBU-57 weighs about 30,000 pounds and stretches over 20 feet, but most of that is not explosive.
It is a long, dense, hardened-steel spike designed to punch through many metres of rock and reinforced concrete before it does anything at all.
Only then does a delayed fuze trigger the charge buried in its tail, so the blast goes off deep underground rather than on the surface.
Because of its sheer size, the B-2 Spirit is the aircraft built to carry it, hauling one or two of these into the target.
