📰 IMAGE 2: “A GIANT SKELETON EIGHTEEN FEET TALL.” Friday, July 11, 1919. A newspaper in Austin, Texas reporting that a fossilized skeleton of a giant EIGHTEEN FEET TALL was found near Seymour, Texas. The article quotes Dr. J.E. Pearce, Professor of Anthropology at the University of Texas, calling it “the most important ethnological discovery ever made in the world.”

Because the Smithsonian Institution was put in charge of collecting the bones.

And the bones DISAPPEARED.

In 1990, a lawsuit was filed against the Smithsonian alleging that the institution had been systematically DESTROYING giant skeletal remains for over a century. The Smithsonian denied it. But they also refused to open their archives for independent inspection.

Thousands of newspaper articles. Hundreds of discoveries. Exposed skeletons ranging from 7 to 18 feet tall. Found on every continent.

All sent to the Smithsonian. None ever seen again.
