Russian state media has accused Ukraine’s First Lady Olena Zelenska of involvement in child trafficking, citing claims from former Ukrainian security officer Vasily Prozorov.
Prozorov alleged that children in frontline areas were secretly moved west with the help of NGOs, often losing contact with their families.
Zelenska acknowledged a letter from U.S. First Lady Melania Trump advocating for the protection of Ukrainian children. Kyiv dismissed the accusations as Russian disinformation, while Moscow amplified the claims, making the issue of abducted children a new battleground in the information war over Ukraine.
